History
Traughber Mechanical specializes in steel fabrication, industrial piping and ductwork, and provides industrial maintenance and support. Established in 1992 by Jim and Cindy Traughber, Traughber Mechanical services industrial, construction and agricultural industries. Prior to establishing Traughber, Jim worked maintenance at Logan Aluminum, who was not only their first customer, but remains a valuable customer today.

Traughber Mechanical’s team consists of 50-60 skilled and versatile employees who have experience in steel fabricating, and are able to go into factories and complete multiple tasks as directed by customers. Even though Traughber Mechanical is a growing company in a growing industry, they pride themselves on customer service, discovering what the customer truly needs and working to meet their expectations. Traughber Mechanical is currently servicing existing and new customers.
The Team
Joey Traughber
President
Joey grew up in Franklin, Ky, where he began learning how to weld when he was about 12 years old. In 2002, he went to Western Kentucky University, where he graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 2007. In his professional career, Joey briefly received outside experience and returned to Traughber in 2014. Joey is now president of Traughber Mechanical. Joey is in charge of Business Development, managing existing customers’ needs as well as developing new customers to grow the business.
J.K. McPherson
Vice President
J.K. has been with Traughber since 1999. J.K. started as a welder/fabricator and worked his way up the company. During his time at Traughber Mechanical, he has had various roles within the company: lead man, crew manager, table operator/programmer, Shop Manager, and now Project Manager.
